I think what we often do, is miss out on the whole experience, and concentrate far too much on one aspect of it. Like the picture, the beauty is far recognisable when it's an overall experience.Anahttp://expressiveworld.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4839770534128170697.post-43720798878024910692009-09-30T07:16:08.075-07:002009-09-30T07:16:08.075-07:00I always admire the philosophy like a silver threa...I always admire the philosophy like a silver thread in every post you've written. There's something to think about, even when it's a humorous post. I had that same feeling when I read Annie Dillard's "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek".Khanh Hahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17792652854956979002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4839770534128170697.post-38783195389279290002009-09-30T06:06:41.428-07:002009-09-30T06:06:41.428-07:00Thank you to all for the nice comments.
Yes, LeSa...Thank you to all for the nice comments.

Yes, LeSan, I think you have a great point. There's a selfishness in today's society, where people put themselves first a lot. There's a "Me first" attitude on our roads, that's for sure.

I also liked this picture because it's so different. It's not your average beautiful picture. I think that's what I was going for, trying to find the beauty hidden in the average.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04505675063769786300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4839770534128170697.post-46517307932052824012009-09-28T21:20:03.137-07:002009-09-28T21:20:03.137-07:00Maybe it's has more to do with an over abundan...Maybe it's has more to do with an over abundance of self importance that we put ourselves above politeness to others. Taking the time to notice the blade of grass coming up from the sidewalk or the pink flowers between the old boards requires setting yourself aside long enough to notice the importance of something outside of you.
This was a very nice post. Thoughtful and provoking. Or sometimes when there's cement and just the smalles little shoot of grass poking through, it just means something, it's encouraging in a strange way.Jessica Nelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12365768876905444157noreply@blogger.com
